Welcome to Kindergarten! We are excited to get to know you and your children this school year. We have many exciting things planned to help your child become a successful student here at Lake Gem. Please feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns. Thank you.
Don’t Forget! School supplies are due to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Thank you for your help in stocking your child’s classroom with all of the materials needed to help him/her learn!
 Here are some important things to know:
- READ, READ, READ to your child every night.
- Check your child’s planner every night. Empty out any papers and sign off on the day. This is our main source of communication with you!
- We will be sending home a reading log envelope or bag each night. Read the books inside, go over the skill the teacher noted and sign.
- We will also be including a special area and snack calendar inside of your child’s binder. Be sure to check what special area class your child will be going to the next day so you can dress him/her appropriately. He/she will need to wear tennis shoes on PE days.
- If your child’s mode of transportation changes for any reason you MUST send in a written note to your child’s teacher. If we do not receive a note they will be sent home their regular way. This is for your child’s safety. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
- If you send your daughter to school in a dress or skirt please put shorts on underneath. No flip flops, halter tops or open backed tops are allowed.
- School starts at 8:35 am. Please make sure your child is at school on time. They are missing valuable learning time when they are tardy or absent.
